Hometown Fair Booth Applications

Applications are now being accepted for the 45th annual Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair! There are many ways to participate and it's a great way to raise money for your organization. Visit to access links to paid games, food booths, beer lottery, community showcase, battle of the bands, and volunteer opportunities.

Fifth Grade Team Wins Odyssey of the Mind State Championship

The 5th grade team from Robinson Elementary captured the Odyssey of the Mind State Championship and is headed to the World Finals in May at Michigan State University! They placed first in Spontaneous Problem-Solving and First Overall in their division. Congratulations to team members: Bridget Ballantine, Callie Boren, Hunter Gregory, Chloe Hynes, William Kiely and Jonathan Voskuilen. Other MBUSD teams participated and shined at the tournament, including Pacific and Pennekamp.

Lost and Found is Full

Are you missing a jacket? Or perhaps 10 jackets, a bunch of lunch boxes, some water bottles and other assorted articles of clothing that found their way to school, but didn't come home? Our Lost and Found, located near the cafeteria, is overflowing with items that have been left behind. If your student is missing anything, please check it out before Spring Break! After April 7, all unclaimed items, from the S'Well bottles to the Jr. Guards hoodies, will be donated!

Girl Scouts Father-Daughter Dance

South Bay Wrestling Academy

The South Bay Wrestling Academy is designed to prepare 3rd to 8th grade boys and girls to have a successful high school experience in wrestling. The Academy is led by Coach Jim Chaney, who will use the same proven techniques that have turned the Mira Costa High School wrestling team into an overnight success. Coach Chaney became the head coach at Mira Costa during the 2013 season, took the last place team in the Bay League and turned them into CIF Champions and the most successful team in the area.

MBX - After School Enrichment Classes

Spring forward and sign up for the new After School Enrichment classes. Registration opens on March 22nd (9 a.m.) for the MBX After School Enrichment Spring Session classes!

Ladies Sunday Fun Day

Attention all Tennis Players! MBMS is hosting a Ladies Sunday Fun Day Fundraising Tennis Tournament on April 2nd! It is open to ALL levels, $65 per player, and only a limited amount of spots left! Returning to Robinson School for 2017-2018 School Year?

If your child will NOT be returning to Robinson School for the 2017-18 School Year, please let us know in the Robinson Office as soon as possible.

Register Online Your Incoming 2017-2018 Kindergartner

If you have an incoming kinder starting school for the 2017-2018 school year, be sure you have completed the Pre-Enrollment Form and turned in all required paperwork. The next step:  go online, complete, print out, sign and turn in to the Robinson Office the online forms. Once these steps are followed, registration is complete.

Robinson Family Fun Run Appreciation

Special thanks to Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts for supporting this year's Family Fun Run.  They generously donated beanie boo plush toys for our swag race bags that surprised and delighted all participants!

Fun Run Club

The Fun Run is over, but our Run Club lives on! With the help of our weekly student runners, we have sailed across Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas. We have 5 Riptides who have logged at least 26.2 miles and earned a new pair of shoes for children in need in Lawndale: Matthew Fine, Jake Kinninger, Tristan Mork-Berenc, Lily Paquin and Miles Zielin. For those Riptides who have logged 26.2 miles by June 1st, the City of Manhattan Beach has graciously donated the use of Begg Pool for a celebratory pool party on June 2nd from 3:15 p.m.

Growing Great Junior Chefs

You are invited to support our 5th grade Growing Great Jr. Chefs, who have created a garden-inspired dish to be featured this month at Manhattan House restaurant. Enjoy the “Rolling Riptides Broccolini Spaghetti” for the entire month of March. Wednesday March 8 will be Robinson night. Bring the whole family to the restaurant, located at 1019 Manhattan Beach Blvd.

Tour De Pier

GO TEAM MARLEY!  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all those who are participating or are interested in participating in the Tour de Pier this year on Team Marley!  To make this seamless, we will be selling "Team Marley" tee shirts and registering team riders this Thursday, March 2nd both before school (starting at 8am) and at pick-up at 12:40pm (min. day). 

2nd Annual Eclectic Ensembles Performance at Mira Costa

Join us for the 2nd Annual Eclectic Ensembles on Friday, March 10th from 6 – 9 p.m. Enjoy a fabulous pasta dinner from Buca di Beppo in the MCHS Café and move on to the Small Theater to hear live music by Eclectic Ensembles from our Grammy™ Award winning musicians.
